W praktyce mogliby zatrudnić do działu developmentu doświadczonych i sensownych ludzi. We need a constant stream of new people to join Games Workshop across all departments and over the last three years our Academy team has been training us all on how to find people whose personal qualities fit the jobs we need to fill. This has radically changed how we recruit and also how we performance manage; to date our new approach has proven to be successful. The challenge now is how do we deal with our recruitment process on an industrial scale: globally we recruit hundreds of people every year and our rigorous approach means that to do this successfully we need to consider thousands of application letters. To help us in this process I will be adding an expert in recruitment to my management team. This appointment should help ensure Games Workshop has the right processes in place to recruit the people we need when we need them to deliver our growth.
kom: RRP - rekomendowane ceny detaliczneKevin Rountree pisze:Secondly, I will review our product range. We believe this is long overdue: it is time for a resetting of the ranges. Not tweaking here and there but a top down reassessment. I expect to update you further at the half year. We will aim to continue to deliver outstanding product and customer service, maintain our Group gross margin and continue to improve our Group stock turn. To be absolutely clear I will not be reducing the RRP of our products: they are premium priced for their premium quality. I will, however, be looking to offer a broader range of price points. This is exciting and is for the long term, so I'm not promising when you will see a change. We have already started the brainstorming in our monthly strategic product meetings. It is early days, but I can already foresee some busy times ahead.
Tu dobrze że się zorientował, i przyznał głupotę Firmy, bo odpływ klientów nie może być załatany skupianiem się nad rentownością sklepówKevin Rountree pisze:Thirdly, we must grow the number of customers we have. We have been underperforming here in recent years, mainly on account of our focus on the value based initiatives of converting our loss making stores to profitable ones and restructuring our sales businesses to take out duplicate and unnecessary costs
First, a quote from hastings, warseer (we already posted this a few days ago, but well, it's part of the topic, and a nice intro):
"via Hastings on Warseer
I have said I was told that Codexes (Codices? how the hell do you do the plural of Codex anyway???) would be gone within 2 years. That might mean the rules for each unit are included in the boxes/free on the net/wd etc.
I do think that 40k rules will become more simplified, why? because GW don't want to focus on making games systems/rules anymore, they purely want to sell models. I do not doubt for one second that they (the main 40k rules) "COULD" become like AoS, but that is my personal opinion, and as I openly said that was me jumping to the conclusion based on how easily they destroyed their longest game world in favour of making more money.
I think rather than being of any use at all this thread is purely scaremongering and misleading. The death of the codex doesn't mean the end of 40k, the death of the army book in WFB was because AoS had ALREADY killed WFB, and AoS had no place for army books."

I also got this whisper from a friendly raven today:
"I have been told that 40k codex books will be a thing of the past within the next two years. Additionally AoS is a test bed for not having a point based system. If the money made from AoS is good, expect to see it in 40k.
Next edition of 40k is getting dumbed down too. Not as much as AoS. As AoS is seen as a test bed, and can be improved upon as they go. They can always release a new edition of the rules as they are online and free. 40k is a touchier subject as it is the main cash generator at the moment. However they want to remove all obstacles to miniature purchases, and they see points as the main bad guy, not the bad rules they write."
i also want to add, GW will continue to make books - campaign books, with fluff and some additional rules, like the End Times books or FW's Imperial Armours. Also, again, this is something which wouldn't affect the next 40k release, but the future of 40k.
regards,
Lady Atia
Pozwól, że wyjaśnię. GW wypłaciło za 2015 wyższą dywidendę (16,6 mln) niż wyniósł zysk firmy (16,5 mln). Przy przychodach na poziomie 120 mln, to sporo. A GW wypłaca ją regularnie co roku - kiedy pękła bańka lotrowa, wzięli nawet na to kredyt.jachu_ka pisze:Nie chce mi sie zaglebiac w raport, robie ctrl+f slowa 'freeze'. Faktycznie, zamrozili place.
Firma robi figurki i jakiestam zasady i akcesoria do nich. Podobaja sie to kupujesz, nie to nie.
Sytuacja klaruje się powoli...Lady Atia pisze: GW don't want to focus on making games systems/rules anymore, they purely want to sell models
