Figurka zajebiście pomalowana, co tu dużo gadać. Ten model jest bardziej oklepany niż twarz Gołoty.
Ciekaw jestem jednego, a mianowicie podstawki, jak ją zrobił i z czego? Pzdr, Jacek.

Hey all,

We are aware of what is going on with Marc's entries and have sent him an email regarding his pending disqualifications. As we don't have ALL the facts in just yet, we are apprehensive about taking action immediately until we hear his side. All evidence is pointing to the worst, but it's only fair to hear his story.

We hope to do the following to amend the situation provided that Marc's entries are indeed disqualified:

1. Post the amended winners and notify those who earned 4th place they have received an award.

2. Notify those that won awards in the Open, WFB Regiment, and WFB Monster categories that they should send their golden demon statues back to us at the HQ for re-distribution.

3. Send out the appropriate awards and post the coverage with the correct winners. As it stands, if those three entries are disqualified, the following people will win the awards:

Silver Dave Pauwels - Rat Ogre
Bronze - James Wappel - Slann Mage Priest

Gold - Kyle Morgan - Red Great Swords

Gold - Tim Lison - The Fall of Egrehafen
Silver - Chris Borer - Night Goblin Boss
Bronze - John Shaffer - Snikrot on Rynn's World

I'm sure it may raise eyebrows that my name is on this list, but I assure you I in no way had any influence over the judging of the Open nor was Tim or I even in the vicinity during judging of that category. We always choose a 4th place in case of tomfoolery, and I was lucky enough to be chosen for 4th in a pretty tough category.

Thanks again to those of you that keep an eye out for such things - we will certainly put into place measures to help ensure honesty during the registration process for next year. Unfortunately we often don't know until well after the fact. We're open for suggestions on how we can avoid this sort of thing in the future as it seems to happen in the US all too often. Please post your suggestions here if you like.

Wyglada na to, ze jeden z kolekcjonerow postanowil wystawic kupione figurki na GD. Malo tego, wystawil je pod swoim nazwiskiem. Nie slyszalem, zeby podobna sytuacja miala kiedykolwiek miejsce poza US.

Quick post today to say "Aaaaaaargh!"

It has now been confirmed that the guy that entered the great Chaos Lord that I linked to in my last post, the guy that collected the Gold trophy, was not, in fact, the guy who painted the freakin' model!

To make matters worse, this guy walked away from Games Day with THREE Gold trophies, for models not painted by him!

To make matter even worse, the painter must have been in on the scam as his CoolMiniorNot pictures were updated immediately with their trophy status!

So, Marc Schmelze (the collector who entered the pieces as his own work in Chicago) and Karol Rudyk (the original painter), I wish you nothing but unhappiness in your future toy soldier endeavors. You sully the hobby. While the painting may be spectacular, the spirit is so false it makes my skin crawl!

Congratulations, however, to those folks who will now take their rightful place among the trophy winners!

Edit: perhaps I was overly harsh on Karol. I'm not sure.

To juz zostawie bez wiekszego komentarza, bardzo przykra sytuacja moim zdaniem.

... a jeszcze bardziej przykre jest to (mowa o kolekcjonerze):

I was standing next to him at the awards ceremony. He was with and older man and two young boys. I assumed that they were his father and sons. I remember very clearly when he returned from getting one of “his” trophies the older gentleman was genuinely exited and was patting him on the back saying “see all your hard work finally paid off”. He must have lied to the people he went to the show with too. That is really sad.
I also noticed that last year he cheated and was not caught. Look at the honorable mentions from Chicago 2008. The Chaos Dragon is one of Karol’s minis as well. I am betting Marc entered that one too.

Grr i za takie akcje nie trawie Yankesów. Choć podobne akcje miały miejsce zapewne w Europie, choć o nich nie wiemy. Takie zachowanie zabija to hobby.

Ano nie ma. Ja w szczegolnosci czekam na(w tym momencie juz nie srebrnego a zlotego) giganta. Nawet na zdjeciu zza szklanej wystawki wyglada cudownie.

Z tymi "fałszywymi demonami" chodzi o lord chaosu na koniu-z dwiema niewolnicami przed sobą praca karola rudyka no i jeszcze jakis arkeon na piechotę również praca karola-słaba opcja-na CMONie jadą równo po "kolekcjonerze" jak i po autorze-choć obrazków tych prac karola na CMONI juz ni ma...hmm zaiste ileż to emocji może wzniecić malowanie żołnierzyków.

Hobby zacznie umierac kiedy drukarki 3d beda kolorowaly to co z siebie wypluwaja. Ciekawe, ktora z wiekszych firm wpadnie na pomysl zastapienia rzezbiarzy grafikami 3d... ale to temat na osobna dyskusje.

Mam tylko nadzieje, ze Karol nie dostanie bana na przyszle GD przez ta sytuacje.
